Today has been a lot better day. I haven’t seen Jenny for about 3 weeks. I did see her today though. Talking to Jenny is a good way for me to get my mojo back.
On the way home I was listening to the radio and there was a talk that brought back a childhood memory.
When I was about 5 I was sitting in Sunday school and we were asked to memorise a bible verse for the following week from Matthew 17:20 – if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
I went home and tried really hard to learn it. The following week there was only me and one other child who could recite it word for word. It was the first verse I had ever learnt. I was so proud of myself at the time. I was given a colouring book as a prize!
On the radio there was a conversation about the power of a mustard seed. Something so small that grows so big.
My New Years resolution this year was to lose weight. I really didn’t believe I could do it. You could say I had faith the size of a mustard seed. It definitely proves that verse to be true because I feel like I have really moved mountains this year.

I, for about 5 years, have believed that there was nothing I could do to lose weight. I was just trying to be content with myself as I was. But I wasn’t content at all. It is only now that I can see it. I think before I did a lot of pretending.
All I know now is that faith the size of a mustard seed can really do wonders.
