It’s been about a month since I have been making my disgusting smoothies everyday. Jenny calls them “green juices”.
It has been hard making them everyday but I have done it. I have to drink it while standing over the sink and then I gulp it down so quick that I don’t get to taste it until I have finished. Then I get a very horrible after taste.
I have found that this healthy eating malarkey has taken a lot of perseverance
It has been very tough going at times but when you do it and it ends up being a success the rewards are so amazing and it makes all that hard work totally worth while.
By putting in all this hard work it has given me a totally different outlook on life. I am finding I am doing things that I haven’t done before or for a very long time.
Every morning while making my disgusting smoothies and the fact that I have persevered with them for so long, I find that they are not disgusting any more.
It may sound odd, a drink made only of vegetables, but it has started to taste sweet.
So it’s no more disgusting smoothies for me but green juices instead!

What do you put in them Deb? I make them most
days but I usually add some fruit as well. X
I pre make some ice cubes with kale, spinach, watercress, carrots, ginger, lemon juice, and parsley.
I add to blender kale, spinach, watercress, celery, cucumber and a couple of the ice cubes I then add a splash of water. You can add an apple for sweetness if you like but it’s better without.
I know what you mean! I too had a gross smoothie experience and it was crazy to me that I actually liked it near the end!
