Day 135

Saturday 14th May 2016

NORMALITY – what does it mean ? I think normality can mean different things to different people. Someone might do something that is totally normal to them, yet another person might think it’s crazy.  Therefore it’s hard to define normality. Normality can also change.

When I first started the detox all I wanted to do was get it over with and get back to normal. Going through it was very hard, it is something I never want to do again. But it has been the most rewarding thing I have ever done. They say greater the hardship greater the reward – in this case it’s so true.

At first ‘normality’ seemed miles off and, to be fare, I don’t want to go back there. I have come so far that if I went back to ‘normal’ now I think I would hate it.

What I have done is create a new ‘normal’. I don’t feel like I am dieting at all, I don’t feel I am missing out either. Everything now is just normal.

Certain food had recently been reintroduced back into my diet, like beef, potatoes and brown rice on the odd occasion. I find I don’t choose them now because it has not been something I would normally have had of late.

So I find that I am enjoying my NEW NORMAL and I don’t want to go back to my old normal.

  1. Hi Debbie I have been following you and reading your daily reports you are doing amazing. I have known you for many years I was in Keresley when your parents bought you as small children and I have seen you on many occasions in Bedworth. You are doing great. My husband Paul and I are the senior leaders at Immanuel Christan Centre Keresley.

    1. Thank you for the encouragement. It’s nice to know that you know me, I however can’t remember too much of the Keresley days as I was quite young at the time. I bet my Mum and Dad will though. If you ever see me in Bedworth you must come and say hello.
