Simplicity
Even though I am dyslexic I love classic books and authors like Shakespeare, Dickens, the Brontë sisters and Austin. I have read a few but they do take effort for me to read. Jane Austin is my favourite. Things are easier for me now with Audiable and you can watch adaptations on TV too.
Reading (or listening in my case) to a good book is like stepping into another world, where you can escape, explore, and experience life through someone else’s eyes. It’s a journey without leaving your seat and immerse yourself in a different time and place. It can transport you back to a simpler time where you can escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life.
I am a person who always goes down the road of least resistance. I want a simple life – not much fuss or effort. However, life doesn’t work that way. I have learnt that to get a simple life takes effort and intention. Simplicity isn’t about avoiding challenges – it’s about embracing them and making choices that bring peace and fulfillment.
Whether it’s through books, quiet moments, or the way we shape our lives, I think that true simplicity comes from knowing what truly matters and letting go of what doesn’t – being content in what we have.
