Day 45

Sunday 14th February

Valentine’s Day and my birthday, so because it was my birthday I was allowed a treat meal.

I really wanted a roast beef Yorkshire pudding and all the trimmings. However up until now I have had no red meat, dairy (except a little butter), gluten, artificial sugar or caffeine since the detox. I was worried it would mean me having to go through withdrawals again as I was told that it might.

I decided to compromise, so I had chicken and lamb (lamb was on my extended food list). I wasn’t supposed to mix my proteins but I did. I also had mash and roast potatoes which weren’t on my list  (while digesting it turns to sugar).

For dessert I had fresh cream and Victoria sponge. It was the best meal I had in a long time I enjoyed every minute of it. It was the best present I had all day.

I had no dinner at night as I was still full.

Back to normal tomorrow, hope I have no withdrawals.
