Goodbye

I have been in Australia since the middle of December. I came with Matt (my husband) and my youngest son, Jake. We came to spend time with my sister and her family for Christmas.

Last night I had to say goodbye to Matt and Jake as they had to travel home without me.

The reason they left is because Jake had to go back for school and I stayed because my sisters 50th birthday is later this month and I thought I would take this opportunity to celebrate it with her.

We have had a lovely few weeks catching up with family and enjoying the warm weather. But last night with them leaving did make me feel a little sad as a part of me would have liked to be home with them. I am eager to get started on my daily routine and continuing on this journey of getting myself more organised. It’s hard to do it when you are not in your familiar surroundings.

However, I’m hearing how cold it is at home and how it’s been snowing. I love the snow – everything looks so pretty but it’s also so cold! Staying where it’s warm is quite appealing.  Spending more time with family that I don’t get to see very often is a bonus too.

So, the decision was made and I am staying in the warm for a few more weeks, and getting to grips with a routine is just going to have to wait a little longer.
