And Relax
I was looking forward to seeing the view this morning but woke up to mist and fog so I still haven’t caught a glimpse of the mountains.
I don’t know what it is about travelling that makes you so tired. All I did was sit there whilst Matt did all the driving yesterday. It hasn’t stopped me from feeling completely drained today though.
But maybe that’s the point. Maybe sometimes we don’t need to do anything to earn rest. Maybe simply arriving is enough!
Today, it’s been just wonderful to drink tea, put my feet up, and let myself unwind. There’s something deeply healing about slowing down – no plans, no pressures, just space to breathe.
Rest isn’t a reward, it’s a requirement. And in these quiet moments we often find the peace we didn’t even realise we needed.
Sometimes the most productive thing we can do is pause, be present, and let the world carry on without us for a while.
When we do eventually move again, we do so with more clarity, more energy, and more appreciation for the beauty around us even if it’s hidden in the fog for now.
